This Course would benefit

Anyone who is qualified in First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work, and needs to refresh their knowledge.  The Health and Safety Executive strongly recommends that these qualifications are refreshed on an annual basis to ensure skills and knowledge are maintained, however the Annual First Aid Refresher is not a requirement to maintain these qualifications.

Course Summary

The course includes assessing the situation in an emergency, dealing with unconscious casualties (including seizure), cardiopulmonary resuscitation, wounds and bleeding and shock.

Length/Format

3 hours.  Delivered in one half day.

Pre-requisites

Learners must hold either the Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work or Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification.

Assessment

There is no formal exam, but the tutor will continually assess learners to ensure the necessary standards have been achieved.

Certification

Because this is refresher training, a certificate is not issued, unless specifically requested.
