This Course would benefit

Anyone interested in learning about the principles of risk assessment and its application in the working environment.  This course is a very good alternative to the Level 2 Health and Safety, and has more practical application.  It is not recommended that learners complete both this courses and the Level 2 Health and Safety as some content is duplicated.   

Course Summary

This course develops the learner’s understanding of the legal framework associated with risk assessment, how they are written and acted upon, detailing the step by step approach to ensure they are as effective as possible, with reference to specific topics such as manual handling, COSHH, fire and work at height.   

Length/Format

Approximately 6 hours followed by an exam.

Pre-requisites

None. Learners must be at least 14 years of age.

Assessment

A multiple-choice/short answer exam at the end of the course.  

Certification

Certificate issued by Focus Awards.  It is recommended that the qualification is renewed after three years.
