Anyone interested in learning about the principles of health and safety and its application in the working environment.   

Course Summary

An introduction to Health and Safety covering a broad range of topics including its importance and relevance, the legal framework and risk assessment with reference to specific topics such as manual handling, COSHH, fire and work at height.  It is not recommended that learners complete both this course and the Level 2 Risk Assessment as some content is duplicated.     

Length/Format

Approximately 6 hours followed by an exam.  

Pre-requisites

None.  Learners must be at least 14 years of age.

Assessment

A multiple-choice exam at the end of the course.

Certification

Certificate issued by Focus Awards.  It is recommended that the qualification is renewed after three years.
