This Course would benefit

Anyone who needs to re-certify their original First Aid at Work qualification.  The First Aid at Work course may help you meet your legal requirements to provide first Aid in the workplace as well as being a valuable life skill.

Course Summary

First Aid at Work covers a wide range of topics within its syllabus, including the principles of first aid, legal requirements, CPR (resuscitation), treatment for shock, heart attacks, head injuries, spinal injuries, fractures, burns, soft tissue injuries, heat related illnesses.  Other important topics include poisoning, seizures, asthma, allergic reactions and eye injuries.

Length/Format

12 hours.  Delivered over two days.

Pre-requisites

Level 3 First Aid at Work (dated no more than 3 years before Re-Certification)

Assessment

Six Practical Assessments and Two Multiple-Choice Assessments.  The tutor will also continually assess learners to ensure the necessary standards have been achieved. 

Certification

The qualification lasts for three years, when the learner must attend another two day Level 3 First Aid at Work Re-Certification course.
