Anyone in a management position who wants to develop their depth of knowledge and understanding of health and safety to a high level.  This qualification would be suitable for someone who has a designated responsibility for health and safety within their organisation.  Would also benefit anyone in any position with a particular interest in health and safety who wishes to advance their learning.   

Course Summary

The key areas covered in this course are:  Health and Safety Management, Risk Assessment, development of a Safe System of Work, and the Legal Framework.  

Length/Format

Online – approximately 18-36 hours.

Pre-requisites

A very good knowledge of Health and Safety is required, and a minimum Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace or equivalent is essential, with Level 3 preferred.  Learners must be at least 16 years of age.

Assessment

Two assignments and a long answer exam. 

Certification  

Certificated by Highfield Qualifications. It is recommended that the qualification is renewed after three years.
